Last Sunday, NALC Branch 6156 proudly hosted a special Retirement and Recognition event at the Sun City Country Club, bringing members together for an afternoon of appreciation, celebration, and camaraderie.
The event honored several dedicated letter carriers on their well-earned retirement, including Rubina Ciolac, Carol Dick, Sharon Gamez, Maria Hernandez, and William Lamb. Each retiree was recognized for a career defined by commitment, public service, and the trust they built within the communities they served. As expressed in the letters presented during the ceremony, their contributions go far beyond delivering mail—they helped strengthen the connection between people, businesses, and neighborhoods every day.

In addition to celebrating retirees, Branch 6156 proudly recognized members reaching significant union membership milestones. Honorees included members celebrating 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and even 50 years of dedicated union service. These milestones reflect a deep and lasting commitment to the principles of solidarity, fairness, and collective strength that define the National Association of Letter Carriers. Each pin awarded symbolizes years of standing together to protect the rights, benefits, and dignity of letter carriers across the country.

The afternoon concluded with a lively and enjoyable gathering hosted by Gail Mossinger and Gail Sanchez, who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all in attendance. Members enjoyed raffles, door prizes, great conversation, and an afternoon filled with laughter and appreciation. The food was outstanding and added to what was truly a memorable event.

Branch President Christina Ramirez extended sincere thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the day special. Events like this serve as a powerful reminder that the strength of our union lies in its members—those who came before us, those who stand beside us today, and those who will carry the tradition forward.
NALC Branch 6156 is proud to honor the service, dedication, and achievements of its members and looks forward to continuing this tradition of recognition for years to come.
