Stamp Out Hunger: Delivering for Our Communities in Arizona
Each year, letter carriers across the country step beyond their daily duties to take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, this effort brings together postal employees, volunteers, and communities to fight food insecurity at a critical time of year.
According to recent issues of The Postal Record, hunger continues to affect 1 in 8 Americans, including children, seniors, and veterans. The food drive is strategically held in May, when donations from the holiday season have been depleted, and many families lose access to school meal programs.
Over the past three years, the impact of the food drive has remained extraordinary. Nationwide collections have consistently reached tens of millions of pounds annually, with more than 39 million pounds reported in 2024 alone (with additional totals…
